![]() Once the children have obtained and glued the Hero card into their ‘Scripture Journal’ we will add a check-mark or a sticker to that box on their chart. We will also have a little pocket on our smaller bulletin board where we will be placing extra copies of the Hero cards for the children that might be gone during that first Sunday. The children will glue each Hero card into their notebook. ![]() Then they will pass out the scripture hero card for that month. They might share a story or scripture about that Hero. I will then glue a cover onto the front of each journal, and a chart onto the inside cover.Īt the beginning of the month we will have one of the Bishopric members come in to Primary dressed as that month’s scripture hero. I will be purchasing notebooks for each of the Primary children. Now that you’ve had a look at the covers and the chart…here’s how we’re planning to use these! □ Here’s a peek at what the chart looks like. I included everything that you will find on LDS.org, but since I din’t have much space, I worded the tasks a little differently. I love their chart, but I needed to re-size it to fit smaller notebooks. I LOVE how they turned out! I even included a little space at the bottom for the children to write their names.Īfter I finished creating the covers, I got to work re-creating the chart that I saw on LDS.org. I decided to create a blue and a pink/coral version. I LOVE Susan Fitch’s scripture clipart (really, all of her clipart is amazing!) so I knew I had to use it. I wanted it simple, but cute. □īefore anything though…I got to work creating a cute cover for the Scripture Journals. ![]() I figured we’ll do whatever is the best deal. ![]() After seeing these 2 wonderful ideas…I finally knew what to do with the Scripture Journal idea!Īt our meeting we discussed using composition notebooks or small notebooks. Each month was listed with 4 other columns of different tasks for the children to do. When I clicked on the link I was taken to a page that had a chart. At the bottom of the page was this link:. Then I clicked on another article titled, “A Year With the Book of Mormon”. I was so excited to see a Scripture Hero card with some tasks for the children to do. I looked through a few articles, and finally found the article titled, “Nephi Was Obedient”. The other day, I saw that the January 2016 Friend was available online. I LOVED the idea! We discussed it a little bit, but didn’t plan any details. During the meeting, my friend brought up the idea of giving the children their very own Scripture Journal. We had a lot to discuss with the upcoming year just around the corner. ISBN: 978-1-69297-679-9.Last week we had a primary presidency meeting.
